Quick Pre Splash Project Turns into Something More

So had Bulman Marine do the bottom paint, turned out very nice.

I planned to change out the stern zinc. Found I have a zinc on the prop and while messing with trim tabs, found zinc there.

The stern zinc turned into a bit of thing as when I went to remove one of the nuts holding it one, the bolt was just spinning…

Looked at stern via stern hatch , couldn’t find where the bolt was. Took closer look at zinc location and realized it was offset to port side of the boat. Cutout hatch for trim tabs on port side to see if I could find bolt. Using mobile phone as inspection device, found bolts. One had four wires connected the other was just for holding zinc. Luckily the loose one wasn’t the one connected to multiple wires.

One to left side was loose, doesn’t look it, but I’m sure it was leaking a bit…

Hooked up a wrench on the inside so as I was single handed I could unlock from outside. Got it out will look to replace it tomorrow.

Also removed zinc from prop and found one on trim table, took that off also and will get replacement for all tomorrow.

While messing around in port stern section / trim tab area noticed that bus bar was badly corroded.

Also thought I was going to use paint stripper (which I brought a gallon of) on the live well, only to find it is painted. So now think I’ll do a light sanding, apply a couple coverings of interlux protect and some white bottom paint.
