Fishing Boston Harbor and Beyond

Birds working off of Rainsford island, the one near Georges. Plenty of boats there too.

Caught 1st Mac with 1st drop, this will be easy. 2hrs later score Terence 1 mac , ocean the rest.

Dropped my last lonely Mac off and was taken right away, only for me to break the line.

What a day.

Lots of bait in Quincy bay…

Lots of bait in the inner harbor near airport, lots of birds but no fish caught and didn’t see any fish caught.

So caught nothing Saturday, but didn’t try too hard. Heard from a friend that Saturday was the Hull Yacht Club fishing tournament with 30 boats out and only 3 keepers caught, no blues.

Sunday went out in the morning did a complete loop of the harbor (out by Hull, around island and back in presidents roads (30 + miles). Finally found some birds working by long island bridge / fire training center. Caught 2 very small blues (real snappers) the smallest was fish tank size, smaller than the lure. If the blues are in and the will grow bigger we could be in for some good blitz in the coming weeks. Still no bunker though…

Let’s hope it get’s going soon.

Nice fish caught in the morning on a pink RonZ in the blitz between north / south main channels, aka Bobs Bass Triangle!

Took Jono, Jason, Greg and Ethan out. Picked up half dozen macks at Nahant and then drifted them in Boston main channel. Hooked 3 fish, only one was keeper size.

Head out at 6am and back at dock by 10:30.
